The grant applications are quite detailed in order to establish who the applying organization or group is, what is being requested, what the financial situation is and where the resources will go. Along with this, systems are set in place for follow-up, reporting and evaluation from all grantees to help measure their successes.
PEACE Isla Mujeres is dedicated to thorough transparency—not only for the funds that we raise, but in accountability and results from organizations who receive grants or other support from the organization. Please let us know if you have any questions.
We operate on a rolling-grant basis and interested community groups are encouraged to apply for funding and support. PEACE Isla Mujeres is also available to coordinate in-kind donations and volunteer support for local efforts.
We completed our first cycle in February 2008 and it is our hope to hold several more granting cycles this first year. Please stay tuned for up-coming notices regarding our next granting cycle.
