PEACE Isla Mujeres is proud to be an initiative of PEACE, a nonprofit community organization based in Punta de Mita, Mexico. PEACE is a recognized 501(c)(3) in the United States and a recognized A.C. in Mexico.
PEACE facilitates a variety of successful community programs in the Puerto Vallarta area, including;
Casa Comunidad
Casa Comunidad provides children and adults with programs and opportunities to develop the necessary skills to be successful, positive contributors to their multi-cultural and multilingual communities.
Community Pride
Community Pride fosters ownership and pride in the community through programs that demonstrate the importance of protecting the environment.
Ayuda los Animales
To help the Animals respond to the challenges of the unwanted pet population in Mexico through aggressive spay/neuter programs, education and adoption.
Manos Unidas por la Mujer
Manos Unidas por la Mujer empowers women to move toward financial independence by providing business resources, education, and training.
The executive director of PEACE in Punta de Mita, Molly Fisher, was one of the original founders of Amigos de los Animales here on Isla. After moving to the Puerto Vallarta area and created PEACE. PEACE has been extremely successful in providing direct support and education in the Vallarta area.
